During the course you will learn the diving skills needed to become certified, including diving equipment, underwater communication, dive planning, problem solving and diving environment

Components of the course
  • Knowledge Development Knowledge Development covers all information about basic techniques, terminology, and safety procedures necessary for safe and enjoyable dives.
  • Confined Water Dives5 sessions in a pool or water with similar conditions to a pool allow you to become familiar with the diving gear you'll be using and practice essential diving skills and safety techniques.
  • Open water dives4 open water dives provide you with the opportunity to perform various skills both underwater and on the surface, ensuring that you become a safe and proficient diver. Additionally, these dives allow you to explore the underwater world firsthand.
Prerequisites
  • No diving experience necessary
  • Minimum age: 10
  • Swimming ability: Must be able to swim 200m (or 300 meters using mask, fins and snorkel) at your own pace and float for 10 minutes
  • You need to show that you are medically fit for diving. To do that – Complete the PADI Medical Statement – if you answer “yes” to any of the questions, you will need to see a doctor before you will be able to enter the water. If you can answer “no” to all of the questions then you are good to go!

Two open water dives – 12 Meters

Day Three

Two open water dives from the boat – 18 Meters

Depth
18 Meters
  • Children between the ages of 10 and 11 years old can obtain certification as a PADI Junior Open Water Diver. The maximum depth allowed for this age group is 12 meters.
  • Once a diver reaches the age of 12, they may dive up to 18 meters, but they will still be considered a Junior Open Water Diver until they turn 15 years old.
Certification Requirements
  • Complete five knowledge development including quizzes and final exam.
  • Complete Five Confined Water Dives.
  • Complete Four Open Water Dives.
